Overview
The British Embassy in Kyiv is the first point of contact for UK visa information for Ukrainian nationals. Ukrainians applying for UK visitor, student, work, or family visas submit applications through VFS Global UK Visa Application Centres in Ukraine (Kyiv and Lviv). The Embassy is currently operating a limited diplomatic function and cannot provide in-person consular assistance to British nationals. The FCDO advises against all travel to Ukraine; British nationals in Ukraine who need assistance should contact the Embassy via the FCDO website. Emergency consular support for vulnerable British nationals continues remotely. Ukrainian nationals in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine, Ukraine Extension Scheme, or similar routes should access visa extension information via UK Visas and Immigration at gov.uk.

Ukrainian nationals require a UK visa for visits, study, work, and family reunification. Applications are submitted through VFS Global UK Visa Application Centres in Kyiv and Lviv. Consular Services
The Embassy provides emergency assistance for vulnerable British nationals and processes emergency travel documents for lost, stolen, or damaged passports. Trade & Export Support
The UK is a significant partner in Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction efforts. UK businesses with expertise in infrastructure, construction, energy, agriculture, and professional services can engage with reconstruction programmes. The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) provides guidance on Ukraine market opportunities and the UK-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement.
Investment Opportunities
Ukraine's reconstruction presents long-term investment opportunities for UK businesses in infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and technology. The UK-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement supports trade and investment relations. The Embassy can facilitate introductions when it is safe and operationally possible to do so.
Business Support
DBT provides guidance for UK businesses interested in Ukraine's reconstruction programmes and the UK-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement. Market access support and introductions are available remotely.
Cultural & Educational Programs
The British Council supports Ukrainian students, teachers, and cultural professionals. Chevening scholarships are available for Ukrainian graduates. A significant number of Ukrainian students are currently studying at UK universities.

Special Notes
FCDO currently advises against all travel to Ukraine. British nationals remaining in Ukraine are strongly advised to follow FCDO travel advice and register their presence via the FCDO website. Emergency Travel Documents are available. Notarial services are currently not available from the Embassy.
