Overview
Kosovan applicants for UK visas — Visit, Student, Skilled Worker, Family — submit biometrics and documents at the designated UK Visa Application Centre, with decisions issued by UK Visas and Immigration. The flow is modest but steady: the Kosovan community in the UK grew rapidly after the 2008 declaration of independence and is concentrated in London and parts of the Midlands, sustaining the Family route in particular. The British Embassy at Lidhja e Pejes 177 in Pristina supports that visa work and provides consular services for British nationals in Kosovo — passport renewal, notarial, emergency assistance — and for a small but growing British leisure-travel flow drawn by the Ottoman-era old quarters of Pristina and Prizren, the Rugova Valley with its limestone gorges and hiking trails, the Sharr Mountains, the lakes of Mirusha and Batllava, and the ski resort at Brezovica. In-person services by appointment via the FCDO website. Check the UK government travel advice for Kosovo before travelling.
