Spain's national art gallery and one of the world's pre-eminent museums of European painting from the 12th to early 20th century. The collection covers Velázquez (Las Meninas), Goya (the Pinturas Negras and the Saturno series), El Greco, Murillo, Bosch, Dürer, Titian, Rubens and Van Dyck in a building rebuilt by Rafael Moneo to combine the original Villanueva neoclassical structure with the contemporary Cubo wing. Visitor entrance is the Puerta de los Jerónimos on Calle Ruiz de Alarcón.
