Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS)

Mumbai's principal art and history museum on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Fort — known until 1998 as the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India. The collection covers ancient Indian sculpture, miniature painting (the Khaira and Sir Cowasji Jehangir collections), pre-Mughal arms and armour, decorative arts, Indian and European prints, natural history and a coin gallery. George Wittet's Indo-Saracenic Revival building stands in formal palm gardens at the heart of South Mumbai.
