Chilean Embassy in Paris

Embassy of Chile in Paris, France

Overview

The Embassy of Chile at 2, avenue de la Motte-Picquet in Paris's 7th arrondissement, near the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars, represents Chile's interests in France. France is one of Chile's most important European partners — bilateral relations span trade, culture, science, and defence. The French-Chilean relationship has deep cultural roots: Chilean artists, writers, and intellectuals have historically maintained strong ties with Paris. Pablo Neruda served as Chilean ambassador to France (1971-1972). Chilean wine (especially Carménère and Malbec) has a growing presence in the French market.
